Meet Bettie! This cutie is an adorable mix breed, maybe a pointer mix, that came into rescue when her precious owner was moving and couldn’t take her with him. Bettie has spent the last couple weeks getting comfortable at her foster home and now she is ready for her forever home!

Bettie is nervous at first with new people but she does warm up quickly! She is being fostered in a home with young kids and she just adores them. She loves to cuddle and be with her people as much as possible. Bettie takes a while longer to warm up to other dogs, but with a proper introduction and people able to manage the dogs’ interactions at first she eventually warms up and loves to play! Bettie would do very well in a home with kids as the only dog, or with an easy going dog who will give her her space but will eventually play with her.

Bettie has had good house manners in foster care and has been doing well with her potty training. Of course there will be an adjustment period and her adopters should be willing to work with her until she gets on a schedule and knows where she is supposed to go potty, but Bettie is very food motivated and a smart little girl.

Bettie is medium energy and loves her long walks. An active family will be ideal for her.
