Adopt Blaze

*PLEASE NOTE:  The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: Adoption Application

Meet Blaze!  This gorgeous fella is a 3 year old golden boy who came to us when his former owner could no longer care for him.  He spent most of his life living in the backyard, so he is still learning how to live in a house.  He’s been settling in the last couple of weeks and is now ready for his forever home.

Blaze is a velcro dog and loves to be with his people all the time.  He is a big cuddler, is fetch obsessed, and enjoys endless cuddle and pet time on the couch with his people.  He is being fostered with another dog and they play and wrestle very well.  Blaze would do best in a home with another playful dog and very patient people.  Because he is still learning how to live in a house and what is expected of him, Blaze can be destructive and needs to be supervised so he doesn’t get himself into trouble.  He is toy and food motivated but will need someone dedicated to puppy proofing and doing training with this big guy.  He is eager to learn but really needs structure and patience.

Blaze is fully potty trained when he has access to go out to the yard throughout the day.  He hasn’t quite learned how to tell his foster family when he needs to go potty if the doors are closed, but when he has access he goes right out to the yard when he needs to.  He is perfect overnight, too.

Blaze is a very active boy who requires plenty of daily outdoor play, walks, hikes, and mental stimulation.  He would be a great companion for camping and all things outdoors.  He does well in the car and is always ready for an adventure.
