Hello! My name is Capitan, AKA Capi.  I’m about six months old, and I’m a neutered male.  I’ve been fully vaccinated too.
I came to San Diego from Mexico when I was barely 8 weeks old.  Back then, I was scared of the world, but my wonderful foster took the time to show me that the world can be a great place!

I love other dogs, and kids, but I’ve never met a cat.  I love my walks (I’m good on the leash) and I love dog beach (I get to go there often!). I am a high energy pup….I’ll need some exercise
(swimming, hiking, running, playing fetch, playing with other dogs, I love them all!) then I can relax and go into couch potato mode.  I will insist on sleeping in your bed.
I love having company in my home. I go crazy with excitement!  However, outside my home, I’m still a little wary of strangers and need coaching to feel safe.  Hey, I’m still a baby!  I’m afraid of
people approaching me unless my person encourages me with a “good boy!”.  I don’t like when strangers reach into my car…but I still love car rides!

I love playing fetch and playing with my toys – especially squeaky toys!  I have no food or toy guarding issues.  I love all food and I can’t get enough!
I need a home with another dog, to both play with, and to learn from to help me with my confidence.  I don’t like being home alone, and may have an occasional accident or chew something I shouldn’t if left alone for long.

If you are interested in making Capitan a part of your family, please fill out an adoption application here: Adoption Application

Please note: Capitan is being fostered in San Diego, CA
Capitan’s adoption fee is $500.
