Meet Bliss!

This sweet girl is an approximately 4 year old lab/pit mix. We rescued her from Riverside animal shelter moments before she was set to be euthanized. Bliss was used as a backyard breeder dog her whole life before being dumped at the shelter not long after she had finished nursing her last litter. Our hearts broke for her and we were not about to leave this mama behind.

Bliss has done very well since coming into rescue and has been making progress everyday gaining confidence and learning how to be a dog after having such a horrible life. She is initially timid with new people, specifically men, but does warm up with time and patience, and a lot of treats! Once she’s comfortable she is an absolute lap dog who will cuddle for hours, give hugs, and kiss you to death!

Bliss loves other dogs with a proper introduction and has really enjoyed playing with her 4-legged friends, going for long walks and on adventures. She is such a sweet soul who really deserves the very best home of her own.

She is super smart and food motivated so her foster has been working with her on some basic obedience skills and trading resources which she has done amazing with. It will be a gradual process for her to build confidence and learn boundaries, but she is making strides and her potential is endless with the right people.
