This gorgeous hunk is Briggs! He’s a little over a year old and ready to find his forever family. Briggs came into rescue when his former family couldn’t provide for him anymore.
Briggs is an all around great pup. He’s good with other dogs, playful, and velcro. He has a gentle mouth when taking treats, loves his toys, and enjoys his walks. He also loves swimming, so having a swimming pool would definitely be a plus. He hasn’t had any potty accidents at his foster home.
Briggs will ‘relocate’ some things…like remote controls and shoes, so it’s best to keep those out of his reach. He hasn’t destroyed any of these things, but it’s better to re-direct him to an appropriate toy. He can be a bit jumpy when he’s excited, so we won’t be placing him with young children who may get knocked over. Briggs is a very typical golden pup and would love to be on top of you when you’re on the couch. He loves being brushed and petted. He is very eager to please and treat motivated. He does need gentle guidance to not put his paws up on counters.
Briggs would do best with another playful dog in the home and an active family, so that is what we are looking for in his forever home. He can be a tiny bit wary of new people initially, but within seconds (and a yummy treat) he’s your new BFF. Briggs is a wonderful, young, happy, sweet boy who will be an amazing addition to his new family.
Briggs is scheduled to be neutered on May 27 and will be ready for adoption once he has healed.
