Churro is one of our rescues from Mexico who came to us a few weeks ago. He has settled in well but has had a tougher time due to some unexpected medical issues. Churro was clearly in pain when we received him so we immediately took him into the vet for some testing. He also had an unfortunate injury to his one eye while in Mexico that left him unable to see out of that eye.

Churro tested positive for anaplasma and ehrlichia, tick borne illnesses and the vet thinks that he has had them for quite some time, which may explain some of his other symptoms. Churro walks a little funny and has been doing short frequent walks without issue. We put Churro on multiple supplements, main meds and antibiotics, among other things to help our sweet guy get back to 100% and he is already doing better!

Churro loves people, lived with cats in Mexico and other than needing meds each day, he is a fairly easy pup. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home as he is still working on sharing human attention.
