This gorgeous girl is Ginger, a 2-3 year old golden retriever who was found as a stray roaming the high desert with 2 other dogs. After a week 2 of the 3 dogs were safely secured by a Good Samaritan. Unfortunately the 3rd dog was nowhere to be found. Once due diligence was done and no owner was located, Ginger officially joined our rescue. 

Ginger is an incredibly sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs. She loves everyone she meets and craves attention, and will paw you to keep petting her. She has learned to use the dog door at her foster home and has done great with potty training. Ginger LOVES the pool, so ideally we want her forever home to have a pool for her to swim/lounge in! She also is a cuddler and will happily hang out with you on the couch to watch TV. 

Ginger is a beefy gal, and needs to get daily exercise as well as a healthy diet to lose some weight. She is healthy, so with exercise and good nutrition the pounds should come off. We do want someone dedicated to help her get to a healthy weight. Ginger does pull a bit on leash, but with practice and patience that will improve as well.

Ginger is scheduled to be spayed on July 8 and will be ready for her forever home as soon as she heals.
