Meet May, a 1 year old lab mix who came to us a few months ago along with her sister, mother and grandmother. All her relatives have been happily adopted and now it’s May’s time to find her forever family.

May is a special girl. She has many amazing qualities and will need a patient adopter to help her continue to come out of her shell. May is very calm and quiet and fairly low energy for a young pup. She has wonderful house manners…doesn’t bark, doesn’t jump on people, and only chews on appropriate dog toys. She is easy to walk on leash and prefers to walk behind her person. She prefers her alone time and is a very low-maintenance girl.

An important thing to know is that May doesn’t seek out human attention/affection, so her human(s) will need to understand and be very patient with her. She will take treats and will approach if you are sitting, but will retreat if you stand up and move towards her.  

May absolutely needs another dog (or dogs) in her forever home. She follows the other dogs, and plays with them. She gets along beautifully with every dog she has met, and gets more animated with male dogs.
