Well hello everyone...my name is Flatty and I am a 2 year old flat-coated retriever. I made my way all the way from Turkey to search for my dream forever family. I was found on the streets of Istanbul, but I was so lucky that a wonderful woman back in Turkey saw me and rescued me off the streets.

I came to the US and have been settling in at my foster home. I currently live with a young lab and 2 teenage children. I do great with everyone and love to play. I love spending time with my foster sister and therefore would benefit from a fur-sibling in my forever home! My foster mom says I sometimes get scared easily and am on the timid side. I just enjoy being with my people most of the time rather than being left alone. I am a happy boy who loves to go for long walks. I tend to get so excited to see new friends while walking that I will pull a little because I want to play. I have been getting better with this in my foster home, but I will need some additional work in my furever home.

While I love being active, I am also equally content to cuddle on the couch with you on a rainy day...or any day! I am exceptionally affectionate, will roll over for belly rubs! I have had a few accidents in my foster home but am getting better everyday, but I may need a bit of a refresher once I get to my forever home.

Since I am still young, I will need a family dedicated to giving me lots of exercise and working with me on obedience training. I love to learn, and am very smart and food motivated, so training will be easy. I am even crate trained and happily sleep in my crate all night long, I don't even put up a fuss going in! Could you be my new buddy?

NOTE: due to the high cost of medical care and transportation overseas, Flatty's adoption fee is $800
He is being fostered in Los Angeles.
