Hi everyone, my name is Fury.  I am a 6 month old cattle dog/heeler mix.  I am a full of energy puppy who’s starting the search for their dream, active forever family.  I was brought into the San Diego Humane Society as a stray and they knew I was just way too cute to be there, so here I am!  I am an incredibly active girl with a sassy personality.  My foster family lives on a ranch, and I'm living a heeler’s dream. I love to run, chase squirrels, and herd the other animals on the ranch in my free time.  I haven't had a lot of training and consistency in my life up until now, so i can be a strong willed pup at times and will need a strong/dominant owner in my forever home to help me learn what’s expected of me.

My foster mom has been working with me a lot on training, and I am getting better everyday.  I am house and crate trained, though I will need additional direction in my forever home until I learn where I am expected to go potty.  I love to go for walks and would be a great hiking buddy with time.  I can be reactive on walks and will bark and lunge trying to get to new people/dogs to say ‘Hi’, or if I hear new noises that intrigue me.  I am extremely smart and the more I am corrected not to do this overtime I will eventually learn how to walk on leash without being so reactive.  I love to learn new things and currently my book of tricks includes sit, stay, lay down, high five, and leave it.  I know, right? Pretty awesome.

I do great with other dogs, and love to play.  So much so that if I want to play with the other dogs in my foster home but they aren’t in the mood I will continue to bark at them until they pay attention to me. I would do best with a dominant dog as I can be overpowering around more submissive pups.  Because I am a puppy, and a heeler puppy at that, I tend to be nippy with people and other dogs.  This will get better as I get older, and with training, but this also means I would do best with teenage kids or in an adult only home. I have tons of puppy energy and need a lot of exercise and stimulation to keep me busy, happy, and out of trouble! I love life on the ranch and would be oh so happy if my dream forever family lived on a ranch, too.  Are you in the market for an incredibly smart, super adorable, crazy active heeler puppy?  If so, I’m your girl!
