Meet Gus!  This handsome fella is a 3 year old Golden Retriever mix who came into rescue when his owners could no longer care for him.  Gus has been settling in at his foster home and now he is ready to find his perfect forever home.

Gus is an absolute sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be with his people.  He is a high energy puppy who requires a lot of daily activity, exercise, and stimulation.  He loves his walks and would be an awesome hiking and adventure buddy.  The outdoors is definitely his happy place.

Gus has done well with his potty training and will go out in the yard when he needs to go potty.  He has been great on leash walking with a harness and loves to greet new people with a wagging tail!  Gus does well with other dogs but is scared at first.  He will cower and hide initially, but after some time he loves to play!  He wasn’t socialized much in his previous home so he is still learning how to ‘dog’, but he is getting better everyday!  He would do very well in home with another playful, but respectful pup.

Given that he is still a puppy and high energy, Gus is still learning what is ok to put in his mouth, and what things are not his.  This is something his forever family should be willing to continue working on with him.  He loves to be with his people and at this time gets stressed being left alone.  This will get better with time and building up the time alone, but he is looking for a family where someone will be home most of the time to help him transition.

If you’re interested in giving this precious boy the home he deserves, please fill out an adoption application here: Adoption Application

Please note: Gus is being fostered in Granda Hills, CA
His adoption fee is $400 USD.
