Justin is a cuddly, sweet, and playful 1 1/2 -2 year old boy from who was rescued in Turkey and came all the way to California to find his forever family.

Justin has a few requests:
1. An active family who will take him on long walks, hikes, and adventures plus lots of play time
2. A doggie companion/playmate
3. A large basket filled with all sorts of toys
4. People willing to invest the time to train him
5. People who want a cuddle bug

He has been enjoying his time with his foster family and loves playing with his doggie foster brother. He has lots of energy and enjoys his 2 long walks each day. All he wants to do is play and give love to his people. Justin adores toys...rope toys, squeaky toys, and his most favorite, tennis balls. He is a bit of a toy destroyer with the plush toys, so a good selection of durable toys would be ideal. He is really hoping for a large toy basket filled with all sorts of fun toys in his forever home. He has a play hard, nap harder mentality and loves cuddling on the couch after a long play session. Justin likes to hang around his doggie brother and his humans. He is a bit of an attention hog, and will push his way closer to his person in order to get some loving.

Justin is a quick learner and his foster family has been working with him on commands like “sit,” “stay,” “heel’” and “down.” This smart pup knows his name and is working on coming when called. He has pretty good house manners and has left his foster belongings intact. Justin is doing very well with potty training, but he will need to learn the appropriate place to go at his new home and be rewarded (praise/treats) when he goes there. Justin is excited to go on his walks and pulls a bit on leash initially, but settles in after a few minutes. He is super treat motivated and would benefit from a positive reinforcement training class with his new family.

Justin isn’t a big fan of being crated, and would much rather sleep with his human on their bed. Justin does bark at some new people and sounds, such as keys jingling and the dishwasher. Everything is new to him, so he is getting used to life in America. His future family should be prepared to help him gain confidence when meeting new people and be patient with him as he experiences all new sights and sounds.

Justin does great with other dogs, older children, and adults. When he gets excited or wants to play he will jump up, but is easily re-directed. Justin would be great in an active home with lots of love to give and would make a wonderful furry addition.
