Adopt Kobe

*PLEASE NOTE:  The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: Adoption Application

This handsome guy is Kobe, a 10-11 month old Golden Retriever.  Kobe’s life prior to rescue was not great.  He lived in a backyard and didn’t get much in the way of exercise or training.  His life definitely changed for the better once he came into rescue, and now he’s ready to find his forever family.

Kobe is a strong (but skinny) guy.  He weighs about 61 lbs now, and will fill out as he gets past puppyhood.  Kobe is incredibly sweet and loves everyone he meets.  He is just starting to understand the joy of toys.  He gets along great with other dogs and loves playing. He would do best with another playful dog in his forever home.

Kobe has been a very good houseguest at his foster home.  He is doing great with potty training and hasn’t been destructive.  He is tall, and will put his paws up on the counter if there is something yummy to sniff, so he will need to be supervised in the kitchen.

Kobe is a high energy boy and needs lots of exercise.  His foster family takes him on a long walk/jog and also to the dog park each day.  He will also need basic obedience training to challenge his brain and help him focus.  Right now he is like a 12 week old puppy in a large body.  He will put his mouth on your hand to play or for attention, but has never bitten down.  He is a wonderful, lovable boy who needs direction.

Kobe adores being with his people, and would prefer if his humans were home more often than not.  We are looking for a family that will commit to provide the exercise, training, love and attention he needs to thrive.
