Please meet Lucky who was found in a dirt field in Mexico. He is a an approximately 2 year old, larger sized mixed breed dog who is a bundle of love. First and foremost he loves his people but is shy and cautious around men and small children. His foster dad won him over with some cooked chicken treats and taking him for walks.
Lucky is a great house guest. He waits patiently while his food is prepared with an occasional spin or two from excitement. Lucky has shown no signs of food aggression or toy reactivity. Given the chance he will counter surf but is easily corrected. He is quite happy to be outside taking a nap or inside sleeping on his dog bed. In the evening he sleeps on his dog bed next to his foster parents and foster dog sister. He sleeps through the night. He plays with his foster sister and loves to run zoomies in the yard. His foster mom leaves the sliding door open to the yard for easy access to potty. He had a few accidents when he first arrived but quickly became potty trained. He is crate trained as well. Lucky is a young dog with puppy energy and will need a family that is committed to walking him daily and taking him to basic obedience classes. He would love to practice with you. Lucky walks twice a day with the help of a harness. While on walks he is very observant of his surroundings and wants to say hello to any dog he sees. He has learned to sit and is working on the wait command. Lucky rarely barks but will talk while playing. Lucky would like his future family to be active, a family member to keep him company and a doggie sibling. Due to his size and energy a home with older children would be best.
