This adorable little boy is Maxx. He is 2-3 years old and most likely either papillon or pomeranian with a little chihuahua mixed in. Whatever mix he is, one thing is for sure...he’s 100% precious! He came into rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. Maxx has been settling in at his foster home over the last few weeks and is now ready to start the search for his perfect forever family.
Maxx is a very devoted lap dog who always wants love and attention from his owners. He is definitely a velcro doggy and wants to spend all his time with his family. Maxx will use any opportunity to cuddle with you in your lap and demand belly rubs. He also loves giving kisses, so beware... there will be some wet sloppy kisses!
Maxx also has a special talent- howling and can even sing a duet with you! Maxx likes to howl when he’s happy, and gets excited. He loves to talk to his people!
Maxx doesn't need a lot of toys- he much rather enjoys human company and will be happy to high-five you and play with you any time you call him. Maxx is a very easy going boy. He enjoys short slow walks and is stimulated by all the sights, sounds and smells of nature. For the rest of the day he will be happy to snooze and soak up the sun.
Maxx is very smart, eager to please, and he learns fast. He has been very good in the potty training department, and hasn’t had any potty accidents in his foster home. He also responds well to praise and needs a lot of positive encouragement.
As Maxx is so dedicated to his owners, he can have separation anxiety and can chew up things when left alone for a long period of time. Thus, a crate or restricted space will be best until he gets comfortable with being alone in the space. Maxx is quite shy when meeting new dogs and new humans, and it takes him a while to get comfortable, so he needs to be introduced gently. But once he opens up, he is the most devoted cuddly boy and will be happy to follow you everywhere.
