Hello - I'm Melody.  I'm truly a lady of mystery.  No one is really sure about my past and I'm not telling - but i am ready to be your best friend in a quiet home where we can just hang out together.  The rescue thinks I'm 11 or 12 years young and despite some minor medical issues, the vet thinks I'm in good shape for my age.  My back legs can be a little weak so I don't really like long walks or climbing more than 1 or 2 stairs, but I have been known to bounce a bit when I am excited about going outside or getting my food.  At some point I have also lost the vision in my right eye.

My foster mom calls me Miss Melody because I'm such a sweet, little lady with the most endearing personality.  I hang out with her all day while she works and I enjoy being around humans who will rub me behind my ears or under my chin.  And napping - napping is my favorite - on my bed or outside in the sun and fresh air.  I am house-trained and haven't had even one accident at my foster home and haven't chewed up one thing - except chicken jerky - it's the tastiest.  I can be a bit of an escape artist so I will need a secure outside area and to be watched around open doors.  I might be okay with another dog if they are calm like me, I'm not fond of the zoomies that my young foster sister does.  She can come up on me very quick and with my restricted vision it makes me uncomfortable so we don’t hang out much.  I may only have one good eye, but I promise when you look into it and my smiling face, I'll win your heart.
