I’m Monica, one of six littermates rescued here in San Diego. Like most small dogs, I can be timid when meeting new friends, but I warm up to be playful and submissive.  I might cower a bit and give you a nervous pee at first! Give me some time to come out of my shell and I will be the sweetest, most easy going girl who loves to snuggle and get neck scratches.  I will love to spend time snuggling in bed with you.  I am also a major couch potato.

I love food and can’t get enough .  I even like carrots and apples for snacks. I might try to steal another dog’s food, but I’ll back away when they warn me.  I’m being fostered and enjoy playing with several small dogs, cats and a pig! I’m looking forward to a furever home with furry buddies. However I’ve not been around many kids.  I’m fine being home alone while my humans work, but so far, I’ve always had  my animal buddies to keep my company.

I’m mellow around the house, but always up for an adventure. I love stuffed toys, exploring a yard, and playing with my animal friends and humans.  I’m still learning how to walk well on a leash. I don’t bark much, but perhaps an apartment wouldn’t be the best place for me.

If you would like to make Monica permanent part of your family, please fill out our adoption application here::: Adoption Application
