Meet Rosie, an adorable 1 - 1½ year old girl who came to us from Turkey.  Our best guess is she is a Lab/Golden/maybe Pyrenees mix.  Rosie was found at a horrible shelter when she was just a puppy.  Fortunately our rescuer scooped her up and saved her life.  One thing is for sure…she is one of the sweetest, lovable and playful girls you will ever meet and she has one of the softest coats!

Rosie is a dream on leash.  She loves her walks and is fascinated by the squirrels and lizards.  She has learned the joy of playing with toys, and getting belly rubs.  She will paw you to get your attention, and loves being petted.  Rosie gets along great with other dogs.  Having a doggie playmate in her forever home would be ideal, as she loves running around and playing chase.  Rosie would do best with a fenced yard where she can do her zoomies and her ‘business’.  At 60 lbs, Rosie isn’t aware of her size and can be a bit klutzy, so she would do best with middle school age kids and older.

Rosie has good house manners, but she will need some supervision and a good supply of toys and chews.  She is easily re-directed if she chews on something she shouldn’t.  With high-value treats Rosie is easy to train.  When playing she may put her mouth on your hand to get your attention, but that is easily exchanged for an appropriate toy.

Rosie is part of Rover’s Retreat Dog Rescue.  Angel’s Bark is also helping find her a great home.  If you’re interested in learning more about Rosie, please fill out an adoption application here: Adoption Application
