Meet Salem!  This gorgeous boy was saved from East Valley shelter.  He was matted head to toe and in desperate need of medical attention.  Salem is an approximately 3 year old Cocker Spaniel. He has spent the last couple weeks settling in at his foster home and is now ready for his forever family.

Salem is a happy fella but can sometimes take a minute to warm up to new people.  He loves to cuddle and be near you.  He enjoys long walks, car rides and adventures everyday.  He would love to go everywhere with his forever people and does very well going to new places.  Salem has been doing well on potty training in his foster home when taken out every few hours.  Of course with a new change he will need some additional help and patience until he figures out where to go, but he is very smart and learns quickly.

Salem is super food motivated and already knows how to sit and is working on down.  He sleeps most of the night in his doggie bed but also loves to cuddle with his people on the couch and human bed.  Salem doesn’t like being left alone after all he’s been through, so he would do best in an active home with someone around most of the time.

Salem is very curious about other dogs and would love a home with another dog and patient people.  He will need patience when sharing resources as he hasn't lived with another dog, but he loves to play and is eager to meet every dog he sees.
