Please meet Tater...The most adorable 4 month old Golden Retriever you will ever meet.  We were asked by a local shelter to help a litter of puppies who were surrendered because they were born with Pectus Excavatum - a congenital defect where the ribs and sternum do not grow properly.  This deformity results in a concave chest and causes compression of the heart and lungs.  Difficulty breathing, exercise intolerance and heart issues/disease can all develop.  These puppies have seen a surgeon, radiologist, and cardiologist to determine the extent of the defect, treatment, and prognosis.  At this point Tater who has been diagnosed with very minimal Pectus Excavatum which may not be of clinical significance, so he is healthy enough to be adopted.

Tater's ideal forever home would be one with a family who is home often so he can receive endless amounts of love and attention.  We will also be requiring another dog in Tater's forever home as a live-in playmate to help with socialization and puppy manners!  If you are interested in making Tater a forever family member, please fill out our adoption application here: Adoption Application

PLEASE NOTE: Tater's adoption fee is $800
He is being fostered in West Hills, CA.
BEFORE PROCEEDING, PLEASE READ:  • Home visits are required prior to being considered for adoption. • Completed application and approved home visit do NOT guarantee adoption • We receive many more applications than we do dogs, so some people will be disappointed.  We may receive over 100 inquiries for a single, highly desirable dog! • We do not ship our dogs
