Please meet Trey, our international traveler all the way from Turkey!  Trey, also known as Toby by his foster mom made his freedom flight to America a couple weeks ago and has been settling in very nicely into his foster home.  Trey is approximately 2 years old and is an extremely intelligent, friendly Labrador retriever who has begun his search for his forever home.

Trey is extremely intelligent and has been working on training with his foster mom.  He knows sit, stay and down and will wait for you to let him know it is okay to greet someone in a very calm way.  His foster mom has been working with him diligently on his leash manners and he walks beautifully on leash right next to you.  Trey's forever family should be committed to continuing the wonderful training his foster mom has started for him.  Trey accompanies his foster mom to work daily and is extremely well behaved.  He enjoys visiting everyone in their offices and he even knows which offices have the treats and will sit outside their door until he gets a treat!  He is a great mix of calm and energetic and knows the appropriate time to settle down.

Trey's foster mom has a strict exercise routine and he is getting over 3 miles a day walking.  He would benefit from a forever family who will continue with this amount of activity or more.  He loves to do a fast paced walk or even a little trot!  Trey's favorite activity is chasing his tennis ball and he will even bring it back to you.  He is working on drop it so you can throw it again!  Trey has only had a couple accidents soon after his arrival but has since grasped the concept of potty training.  He will however need a gentle reminder of the proper place to potty in his forever home.

Trey loves to play with other dogs and will definitely let you know when he sees one.  He will let out a little bark, do a play bow and game is on!  Trey however does better with bigger dogs or dogs similar to his size.  He is also being fostered with 2 cats.  He does not chase or hurt them but simply wants to play with them and doesn't understand why they don't want to play with him.

Trey's forever family should be committed to training, socialization and providing Trey with endless amounts of tennis balls and toys!  He will in return be an incredibly loving and loyal family member.

If you are interested in making Trey a member of your family, please fill out our adoption application here: Adoption Application

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high cost of international travel and vet care Trey’s adoption fee is $1,000
He is being fostered in Calabasas, CA.
