Meet Trixy! This cutie is a precious 2-year-old Dachshund mix, possibly mixed with some Golden Retriever. Trixy came into rescue when her previous owner realized they couldn’t give her the attention she deserves and she is now ready to find her forever home!

Trixy loves her people and everyone she meets. She will lay at your feet while you work, endlessly play fetch, and cuddle with her head on your lap for hours on the couch. She is a true velcro dog and loves to do everything with her humans. She definitely enjoys being the center of attention and would enjoy a home where she is the only dog getting all the love.

Trixy enjoys her daily walks and will need a family dedicated to plenty of daily activity. She walks very well on leash and is getting 2-3 good distance walks a day. She would be a great hiking companion and adventure buddy! Once she’s had her activity she will gladly hang out around the house and cuddle.

She has done very well with potty training and will go out into the yard when she needs to go potty. Of course, with a new change, she will need some patience and direction until she gets on a schedule and knows where she is supposed to potty. Trixy is a smart little girl who is very food and toy-motivated and eager to please her people. She is all about her toys so her forever family should have plenty of squeaky toys and balls accessible to her!

Trixy will thrive in an active environment with people who love cuddles, be with her as often as possible, and play fetch with her!
