Jett is an absolutely stunning cream golden retriever.  He is an AKC Champion show dog.  He is 79lb and is a perfect weight for his stature. He came to us from a breeding farm where he lived outside only with many other dogs.  Everything inside a house and outside a home has been new to sweet Jett -   but he has done fantastically well navigating cars on his walks, new people, and a house.   At this stage you would not know he hadn't lived inside before. Jett wags his tail all the time and gives you a big smile - he loved people!  Jett is 8, turning 9 in July, but he shows no signs of being anything other than a polite young man.   He loves going on walks and does so very nicely on a leash with no pulling.   He is nondestructive and has not touched items in the home. Jett is great in a car and just lays down.  He is a quiet boy and has only ever barked at the cat when he first met it.

Jett has lived with two male dogs in foster - a Golden and a Samoyed - and he pays little attention to, and lives harmoniously with, them.   He enjoys a play toy like tug, loves a soft toy to carry around, and has shown interest in a bone. There is a pool in his foster home and he just moves around it.   What Jett loves the most is the yard.  He thoroughly enjoys sniffing everywhere, exploring everything and laying in the yard soaking up the sun.  As such, we will be looking for a yard in his new home.

Jett really enjoys fuss and cuddles.  We think he'd be fine with children who have learned to be respectful of animals.   Jett is crate trained and this has been helpful for keeping him safe inside a home at night and teaching him where to go potty outside.  He's doing great and has learned now to go out the grass to do his business.  He has also been learning the doggy door and has picked that up well.    Jett will be an amazing companion for someone. He likes to do things that he thinks make you happy so he is a quick learner.  Jett can't wait to find his patient loving forever home with a yard and someone to take him on a walk!
