Meet Lilly, a beautiful young golden girl who is ready to find her forever family. Lilly was found as a stray and was taken in by a good samaritan. After due diligence she was going to keep Lilly, but her daughter was very allergic.
Lilly is young, under a year old, and just about as sweet as they come. She loves to play with toys and would love a doggie friend to play with as well. She’s super smart and eager to please. She is also a big cuddler, and would love to be on your lap to watch TV and on your bed to sleep. She has learned the dog door at her foster home and will take herself out to potty.
Lilly is very much a puppy. She will counter surf, although her foster mom is working with her on that. She is also mouthy when playing, so her adopter should be prepared to offer a toy when she puts her mouth on something inappropriate (like an arm or hand).
We don’t know what Lilly’s life was like before rescue, but our guess is she didn’t experience much. Loud noises can frighten her a bit, and she is wary of getting in the car (although once she’s in the car, she’s fine). She will need patience and gentle desensitization to get her used to those things.
Lilly would do best with daily exercise and play, lots of adventures, and most of all lots of love. She is scheduled to be spayed the week of June 9. If you’re interested in our sweet girl, please complete our adoption application. Questions can be directed to nancy@roversretreat.org
