Meet Venus, a 9-year-old Labrador mix named after the goddess of love and beauty.  Venus’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her resilience and sweetness shine through every day.

Originally, Venus went to the vet for boarding while her owner refinished their floors. Sadly, her owners decided they preferred a fur-free home and chose not to take her back, leaving Venus to spend an entire month at the vet. But fate had better plans for this lovely girl. A compassionate Good Samaritan at the vet sponsored her, ensuring she had the care she needed until our rescue organization discovered her.
Now, Venus is blossoming in a loving foster home, where she enjoys the comfort of soft couches, cozy dog beds, and a spacious yard. She walks well on a leash. As a houseguest, she is polite and well-behaved and loves to lounge on couches.  Venus will protect you from your gardeners and mailcarriers with a strong bark ;-).

Venus is slowly learning to trust people again, and her progress is heartwarming. She needs a patient and loving forever home that can offer her the stability and affection she craves. With the right family,Venus will thrive.
