This adorable girl is Coco, a 3-3 1/2 year old golden who recently came to us from Turkey. Coco had a family but once their son went into military service the parents couldn’t be bothered to walk her a few times a day so she could go potty. Fortunately, her family reached out to our amazing rescuer who gladly took her in.
Coco has one of the cutest personalities we have seen. Her foster parents call her a diva doggie. She has a sock fetish and loves carrying them around (doesn’t destroy, just relocates them). She uses the power of her adorableness to get all the love and treats she can muster. She sits patiently watching her foster mom cook dinner, but will counter surf if given the opportunity. She bunny hops around the yard when running after toys. And she is one of the happiest little girls ever!
Coco is very petite…weighing only 40 lbs at her vet appointment. She loves people and gets along great with other dogs. She is a bit wary of cats, so we won’t be placing her in a home with cats. Coco loves her walks and is good on leash. Of course squirrels get her excited and she will pull when she sees them, but she’s very easy to re-direct. She is curious, playful, and adores affection…especially being brushed.
Coco is treat motivated and eager to please. She hasn’t had any potty accidents at her foster home, and has been a wonderful houseguest. Coco will be an amazing addition to any family. If you’re interested in adopting Coco, please complete our adoption application. Questions can be directed to nancy@roversretreat.org
NOTE: Coco’s adoption fee helps offset the extremely high cost of international transportation, extensive vetting done in her home country, and the CDC’s requirements for importing dogs.
