Wolfie is a 3 year old golden retriever. This super handsome boy has been through a lot of heartache in his short life. His original owner passed away, and a neighbor was asked to care for him. Unfortunately she became ill as well and realized he deserved better, so that’s when we stepped in and brought him into rescue.

Wolfie is a typical golden who craves attention and love. He absolutely loves people and will approach anyone. He can be exuberant, but settles nicely. Wolfie is crate trained and his foster mom has been working with him on basic commands like sit, paw and lay down.  

He is a healthy boy who came to us a bit underweight at 72 lbs. He enjoys his leashed walks and car adventures. He gets excited to explore new places and meet new people. Wolfie does well with medium sized and larger dogs. He does OK around smaller dogs on leash, but was bullied by a small dog at his original home so we don’t recommend placing him in another situation like that.
