This adorable boy is Danny, an approximately 2 year old small (35 lbs) golden mix who came to us recently from Turkey. Danny was found at a shelter where he had been abandoned by the only family he knew. Fortunately our amazing rescuer scooped him up and took care of him until he flew to SoCal to find his forever family.
Danny might be one of the sweetest pups you will ever meet. He is a sensitive boy and can be a little shy initially, but warms up quickly. Danny loves other dogs and would do best with a doggie playmate to help his confidence. He loves his walks, hikes, and adventures. Danny is good on leash and rides well in the car. He is a moderate energy boy.
Danny is just learning how fun toys are, and watching him discover sharing plush toys with his doggie foster sister is heartwarming. He loves affection and would prefer to sleep in bed with his people. He enjoys sunbathing and spending time exploring his yard. Danny hasn’t had any potty accidents at his foster home, and has been a great houseguest.
Danny would do best with an active family who wants to make him part of their adventures, and has a playful doggie sibling for him. His new family should understand that new people approaching him quickly can make him nervous. He will thrive in a gentle, patient household.
If Danny sounds like the one for you, please complete our adoption application. Questions can be directed to nancy@roversretreat.org
NOTE: Danny’s adoption fee helps offset the extremely high cost of international transportation, extensive vetting done in his home country, and the CDC’s requirements for importing dogs.
