This super handsome pup is Benjamin, an approximately 1 1/2 year old boy who came to us recently from Turkey, most likely with other things mixed in! Our best guess is he is part golden retriever and part english setter. He’s a tall and skinny 57 lbs now, but should be at least 65. Benjamin was dumped at a private shelter with his 2 siblings, and thankfully our rescuer spotted them and asked if we could help. And yes, all 3 of the siblings were saved and are part of our rescue. :) 

Benjamin is an energetic boy who loves people and does great with other dogs. He needs daily exercise, enjoys his walks and visits to the dog park. He is very curious and takes in all the sights, sounds and scents. He’s pretty good on leash, other than the occasional chasing of birds. 😂 Benjamin craves human affection and is an incredibly sweet boy. 

Benjamin would do best with a playful doggie sibling and an active adopter. He would benefit by gentle guidance and basic training with his future family. He is eager to please. To make his transition to a new home easier, he would do best with a fenced yard as he hasn’t yet gone potty on leash. 

Being a young boy his foster has learned to put away the slippers/shoes and socks as those things look like toys to Benjamin. A good selection of appropriate chew toys are definitely in order at his forever home. He is easily re-directed and a quick learner, and will make a wonderful addition to his future family.
