The best way to introduce you to Oreo is by describing her characteristics….she’s an extremely happy and cheerful dog. She’s a cuddle bug who will stay as close as possible to you if you continue petting her, she’s an agile athlete who loves going on long walks and doing zoomies around the yard, she’s a chow hound who is super food motivated, and she is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet.

Oreo came to us from Turkey where one of our wonderful adopters spotted her at a shelter there, and begged us to save her life.  We took one look at her pictures and said ‘of course’!  Fast forward about 6 months and Oreo arrived safely at LAX and is now ready to find her forever family. 

Our best guess is Oreo is between 1 1/2-2 years old. She is super skinny and weighs only 31 lbs, but should be 40+. Her foster family is giving her extra nutrition every day to help her put on a few healthy lbs. She loves food and treats, and is very easy to train as she’s eager to please. 

Oreo gets along great with other dogs, loves people, and is playful. She is learning the joy of toys, too. Oreo loves her walks and opportunities to sniff and take in all the amazing  scents. She’s getting 3+ miles of walks per day, plus running around the yard and playing with her foster doggie siblings. She is a higher energy girl, and would love to participate in nose work, agility, or other activities that give her both mental and physical stimulation. Once her outdoor activities are done for the day, she is happy to chill out and settle at home with her family. 

Oreo would do best with an active adopter who wants her to be part of the adventures in life. She rides very well in the car and loves outings. She’d love a doggie sibling, and thrives with play time. Having a doggie sibling also helps her expend some energy as she loves running around and playing with other dogs.
