Kirby is a sweet Shepherd mix puppy dreaming of his forever home. At just 5 months old, his life has already been heartbreakingly hard.

Kirby was one of nine severely emaciated puppies struggling to survive. A pregnant mama dog wandered onto the land weeks earlier and gave birth… and since then the puppies had been left there to fend for themselves.

When a police officer saw the situation, he stepped in! He urgently reached out to rescues for help. Thanks to an incredible team effort between four rescues, all nine puppies are now finally safe.

Kirby is one of them and we are so grateful we could help save his life. Now, all he needs is you.

Despite everything he’s been through, Kirby is affectionate and incredibly sweet. The world is still a scary place for him but what helps him most?! His doggie foster sister. He looks to her for comfort, confidence and reassurance.

Kirby would truly thrive in a home with a calm, loving dog mentor. A pup who can show him that life can be soft and kind. With patience, love and consistency, this boy is going to blossom into the most loyal companion.
