This stunningly handsome boy is Cooper, a former show dog and retired breeding stud who is now looking for his forever family. Cooper is 5 1/2 years old and weighs 86 lbs, and is one of the sweetest boys you’d ever meet.

Cooper’s favorite things are his daily walks (and is getting approximately 4-5 miles a day) and getting lots of love from his humans. He is learning what toys are as he most likely didn’t have them prior to coming into rescue. Cooper gets along great with other dogs but has not been tested around cats. 

Cooper is a pretty mellow and gentle boy. He loves all people, enjoys sunning himself in the yard, and is eager to please. He walks well on leash and happily greets people he meets. He has been a wonderful houseguest and has left his foster’s belongings intact and hasn’t had any potty accidents while in rescue. 

Cooper was a bit anxious when he first arrived at his foster home and would pace around but with time, patience and lots of love that has slowly gone away. Loud unexpected noises may startle him, but once he settles in that also subsides. He doesn’t love getting into the car, but is fine once he is in.
