Meet Gourdie! He's a 4 year old, a spaniel mix, and already on his third home. Through no fault of his own, Gourdie has had more changes in his young life than any dog should have to experience.

His last home was with an 85 year old woman who loved him dearly but could no longer physically care for him. She wanted what was best for her boy, so she reached out to a friend who kept Gourdie safe and loved until Rover’s Retreat could step in.

Now it’s Gourdie’s turn for a fresh start!

This happy boy loves people, exploring the outdoors, belly rubs, and high-value snacks (chicken, cheese and cooked carrots,

Gourdie currently lives with another dog and has lived with children in the past. He’s also working on his leash manners and learning that walks can be a fun adventure.

Gourdie has so much love to give. He just needs someone willing to give him the one thing he’s been missing a true "furever" home.
