Meet Herbie!

Herbie was found as a stray by a kind Good Samaritan who kept him safe during his stray hold. When we were asked if Rover’s Retreat could help, we took one look at that adorable underbite and couldn’t say no!

This handsome little guy is about 1 year old, weighs 10½ pounds, and is believed to be a Shih Tzu mix. Herbie can be a bit shy when meeting new people and likes to take his time getting comfortable, but a little chicken goes a long way toward winning his heart. Once he trusts you, you’ll have a loyal friend for life.

Herbie is looking for patient adopters who understand that he may need time to settle in and are willing to work with him through any challenges that may come up along the way. He would love lots of opportunity to play.

He walks beautifully on leash, loves his daily strolls, and enjoys being part of the action. With the right family, Herbie is going to blossom into an amazing companion.
