Mama Hazel, the mom to our Hazelnuts litter, is ready for her furever home!

She is getting spayed on Tuesday and can’t wait to find the furever people she so deserves.We rescued mama Hazel and her babies from Victorville shelter back in April. She was such a great mom to her pups but now it’s time to focus on herself and find her own happy ending.

She is likely somewhere between 1-2 years old and is as sweet as can be. We are not totally sure on her breed, but we’re thinking she might be some kind of poodle / shih tzu mix. Whatever she is she is adorable and about 16/17 pounds.She loves other dogs and has come a long way having a confident mentor buddy around. She is wary of men and definitely has had some past trauma around men, but she does warm up after a while and enjoys her cuddles with her foster dad now that she’s comfortable.

She bonds very quickly to women and kids and loves attention. She is the epitome of a velcro lap dog once she bonds.Hazel will thrive in a patient home committed to working with her to build more confidence. She has had a rough past but has come a long way over these last several weeks and deserves the best future.
