Meet Holly! A sweet 6-month-old Golden Retriever puppy. She came from an accidental litter of 13 puppies, where the owners were unable to care for the puppies and were looking to give them away. Thankfully, we were able to take Holly into our care and give her the safe start she deserves.
Since arriving at her foster home, Holly has been slowly adjusting to her new surroundings. It was clear she had been kept outdoors, as she was very timid and unsure about coming inside at first. With the help of her foster sister, she’s learning just how cozy and comforting a home can be.
Holly is dog-friendly and human-friendly, and she hasn’t had any potty accidents in her foster home. She loves spending time with her foster sister, Because she gains so much confidence from another dog, Holly will require a playful canine companion in her forever home. She truly blossoms with the reassurance and guidance of another dog.
It’s also clear she hasn’t had much human interaction in the past. She may become timid when approached, but she warms up quickly giving you tail wags & kisses.
Walking on leash is still new to her, so her future family should be prepared to take things slow and help her build confidence during walks.
Holly will thrive with someone who is patient, understanding, and willing to go at her pace. She’s gaining confidence every day and needs a family who will continue showing her how fun, safe, and loving the world can be.
Holly is not yet spayed, but will be soon.
