We first heard about Loki from a wonderful volunteer with the group Feeding Perris Strays. The volunteer rescued Loki after seeing him dodging traffic on a freeway, nearly being hit multiple times. Thankfully she was able to get him safe and to a temporary foster home, and then contacted us to see if we could take him in. We love supporting rescue partners, and gladly said yes to Loki!
Loki is an approximately 2-3 year old Labrador Retriever. He is a truly wonderful boy. Loki loves people, and is good with kids and other dogs. He has not been tested with cats. He has great energy and would thrive in an active family that can take him on walks, hikes, and adventures. Loki also loves swimming, so a pool or access to water would be a big plus.
Loki loves playing chase and fetch, and is a champion ball retriever. He actually loves all toys, and should have a good selection of appropriate chew toys at his forever home. If bored, he may chew on inappropriate things, but is easily re-directed. His foster family is working with him on some basic commands, and his future family should plan to continue that training. He enjoys going on walks, and does pull on leash but does better with a gentle leader.
Loki hasn’t had any potty accidents at his foster home and isn’t a big barker. He is an all around great boy. He is also food motivated and eager to please. Loki will be an excellent addition to his new family.
