Meet Ohtani!
Ohtani joined Rover’s Retreat early last month after a wonderful woman who had been caring for him realized that, with so many foster dogs already in her home, he deserved more individual attention. We were happy to welcome this special boy into our rescue.
Ohtani is a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel with the sweetest, saddest eyes you’ve ever seen, earning him the affectionate nickname “Baby Eeyore.” He currently weighs 31 pounds and is making progress on his weight loss journey.
This gentle soul has a calm, mellow personality. He walks beautifully on leash, enjoys leisurely strolls, loves chasing balls, and is equally happy spending the afternoon as a couch potato with his favorite people.
Ohtani has juvenile cataracts in both eyes that are affecting his vision. We’re working closely with his veterinary team to get him the care he needs, and we hope to have his cataracts surgically corrected soon.
Ohtani is looking for a loving, patient home where he can continue to blossom. He’s an incredibly sweet, easygoing boy with so much love to give, and we know the family who welcomes him home will be rewarded with a truly wonderful companion.
Ohtani is being fostered in Manhattan Beach
