Mia is one of those dogs that checks all the boxes…beautiful, happy, playful, sweet. You’d think she had nothing but an amazing life prior to rescue, but sadly that isn’t the case. Mia was purchased as a puppy by a family in Turkey, and then abandoned when they didn't have time for her. Based on how nervous and shy she was when she arrived at our rescuer’s home, we're guessing people weren't very nice to her. After a couple months of working with her, she was literally a different dog. It’s a testament to how resilient these pups are! Mia is now a super happy, balanced and trusting girl who is ready to find her forever family.

Mia loves everyone she meets and adores affection. She plays with her doggie foster siblings all day long, so she would do best with a doggie playmate in her forever home. Mia enjoys going on walks, adventures, hikes and car rides. Her happy place is cuddling on the couch and sleeping in bed with her humans. 

Mia is great on leash and would do best with daily walks and play. She’s a moderate energy girl who settles nicely after exercise. True to her golden nature, she is a foodie and is very food/treat motivated. She doesn’t know many commands, but is eager to please (especially if a treat is involved!). Mia hasn’t had any potty accidents at her foster home and has been a wonderful houseguest.
