This precious little girl is Candy, an appropriate name since she is as sweet as candy! Candy came to us from Turkey where she was surrendered by her family who fell on hard times. Fortunately our rescuer took her in and cared for her until she could fly to California.
Candy is adorable, happy, and petite (42 lb). She craves attention, loves being petted and cuddled. She loves toys and playing with her foster doggie brother, especially running around the yard and rolling in the grass. She walks very well on leash and gets very excited about her walks. Candy is currently getting 2-3 walks a day, and loves exploring. She enjoys car rides and adventures, too.
Candy gets along great with all people and dogs. She has a typical, happy golden personality. She’ll greet new people and dogs happily, and will be your best friend if you offer her a treat. Candy is food/treat motivated and eager to please.
One of Candy’s favorite things is having access to a fenced yard with grass. She plays, runs, rolls around, and goes in and out of the house during the day. She is quite agile, and happily runs after toys and plays chase with other dogs.
Candy’s ideal future home would have another active, playful dog. She needs daily walks and play, and cuddle time is a must. Due to her love of running/rolling around in the grass, we would like her to have a fenced yard with grass.

NOTE: Candy’s adoption fee helps offset the extremely high cost of international transportation, extensive vetting done in her home country, and the CDC’s requirements for importing dogs.
