Meet Clyde 🤍
This adorable boy was left behind in outdoor kennels when a tenant moved out, along with his buddy (possibly sibling!) Bonnie. A caring neighbor reached out for rescue help — and we answered the call. Now Clyde is safe, loved, and ready for the forever family he deserves.
Clyde is such a handsome golden boy, a little shorter than a standard golden and weighing in at 55 pounds — the perfect medium size.
He’s crate trained (especially if there’s a cookie at bedtime) and he loves his walks. He does amazing on leash and is a joy to take out and about.
Clyde gets along well with other dogs and absolutely loves people. When he first arrived, he didn’t even know what dog toys were — but he sure does now! He happily tosses his stuffies into the air and tries to catch them, and he’s discovered that cow ears make for the perfect chew.
He is incredibly affectionate and thrives on connection. His favorite place is right next to you on the couch, resting his head in your lap while soaking up ear rubs and head scratches. He may still cower just a little when you first reach to pet him, but once he realizes it’s love coming his way, he melts into it.
Every morning, Clyde wakes up so happy. He greets all the other dogs with gentle nose kisses and does the cutest little hopping session while saying good morning. It’s impossible not to smile watching him.
We’d describe Clyde’s temperament as moderate — the perfect mix. Playful and animated in the mornings, mellow and easygoing the rest of the day.
Clyde is ready for a home that will cherish him forever. Could that be you? 🏡✨
He is scheduled to be neutered soon. If you’re interested in Clyde, please complete our adoption application. Questions can be directed to nancy@roversretreat.org
