Sweet Mandy is an angel girl who can’t wait to have a family to call her own. She came to us through our rescuer in Turkey after being found at a private shelter, where she had been abandoned by her former family.

Mandy had a family who cared for her for three years, but they ultimately abandoned her, leaving her with her bed and blanket. They shared that they adored her as a puppy, but after having a child, their child began mistreating her. They said they could not protect her from the child’s abuse and made the decision to give her up. Her Turkish name was KIZIM, meaning “my daughter.”

Although Mandy’s story of abandonment is incredibly sad, you would never know she experienced such heartbreak. She is full of love and joy and truly radiates happiness. Mandy is about 4–5 years old. She’s an easygoing girl who loves human attention. She enjoys her walks and prefers to take them slow and steady, happily taking in the views of her new American life.

Mandy has been a wonderful houseguest in her foster home. She gets along beautifully with her doggie and kitty foster siblings. She is eager to please and food motivated, which will make learning basic commands easy. She has already figured out that sitting means she gets a little snack. She’s had no potty accidents and loves cuddling up on the couch.

Mandy is a very sweet-natured girl who simply wants a family to call her own - forever this time. She will be an amazing addition to any family.
